Service Description

A full scope once-a-week course lasting for seven 2 1/2 hour sessions. This is our all encompassing course, it will cover all things late pregnancy, birth, and postpartum related, as well as diving into newborn care, breastfeeding (taught by an IBCLC), nutrition, mental health, advocating for yourself, a labor rehearsal & more. The general class outline is as follows - Class One: Pregnancy, Nutrition & Exercise, Anatomy/Physiology Class Two: Stages & Signs of Labor, Fetal Positioning, Routes of Safety Class Three: Pain Relief, Coping Techniques, Comfort Measures Class Four: Interventions/Tools, Informed Consent, Evidence Based Care, Advocacy. Class Five: Pushing, Postpartum, Mental Health Class Six: IBCLC-taught Breastfeeding Class & Newborn Practice Stations Class Seven: Labor Rehearsal & Cesarean recap, & Birth Plan You can take this course at anytime during pregnancy, but it is encouraged for the last session to be in your mid-late 3rd trimester so that the information is fresh - but when you take it is entirely up to you, all are welcome! UPCOMING SESSION DATES: -Series available for booking now: *January 15 - February 26th 2026 Thursday evenings 6:00-8:30pm Future sessions will be available for booking at least 2 months prior to start date: *April 9th - May 21st 2026 *August 6th - September 17th 2026 *October 8th - November 19th 2026 Address along with more information will be emailed prior to class date :) ****Please be aware that individual class dates are subject to change as instructor is also a birth doula and works an on-call schedule. If a class needs to be rescheduled, the make-up date will be discussed as a class. PLEASE NOTE: All courses have a limited class size. To hold your spot we require a deposit. Includes you & one support person to attend the course, a comprehensive binder of resources & materials ($25), free access to [M]otherboard Birth Planning Online App ($50 Value), and referrals/resources from Instructor throughout the course and up to 6 weeks postpartum. All courses are created for any birthing person, regardless of your birth preferences (i.e hospital/home, medicated/unmedicated, etc). Classes will be held in person & limited spots available.
