Seven Weeks. One Deep Dive. Navigating Birth + Baby—from pregnancy to postpartum and everything in between. Whether you are planning a home or hospital birth, this all-encompassing series provides the time and space to truly master the unbiased, evidence-based tools you need. Over seven weeks, we don't just cover the "rhythm and flow" of labor; we dive deep into the tangible and intangible "toolboxes" for birth, newborn care, and postpartum reality. This course is a comprehensive and slower-paced journey designed for parents who want to process information in doses over a longer period. Beyond the curriculum, this format allows for the vital time needed to build a genuine community with fellow expecting parents. Taught by a veteran doula and educator, this course trades the "lecture" feel for interactive, personable learning (hello, former elementary teacher vibes). From comfort measure stations to a full labor rehearsal, we ensure you and your partner leave feeling grounded and ready to navigate the "moments you can't Google." The Seven Week Journey Week 1: The Foundations – Anatomy, physiology, and nutrition/exercise for a healthy pregnancy. Week 2: Understanding Labor – Stages and signs of labor, fetal positioning, and "routes of safety." Week 3: The Comfort Toolbox – Non-medical pain relief, labor positions, coping stations & medical relief options. Week 4: Advocacy & Evidence – Navigating interventions and medical options with confidence. Week 5: The Arrival & Recovery – The pushing phase, birth videos, and postpartum & mental health. Week 6: Newborn Care 101 – IBCLC-taught breastfeeding class plus hands-on soothing practice. Week 7: The Rehearsal – A full labor rehearsal, Cesarean recap, and birth plan workshop. Upcoming Course Dates - Registration Open Now: April 9th – May 21st, 2026 (Thursday evenings) Booking Opens 2 Months Prior: August 6th – September 17th, 2026 October 8th – November 19th, 2026 PLEASE NOTE: Inclusive: Created for any birthing person and any birth preference. In-Person: Limited class size; deposit required to hold your spot. All-Inclusive: Includes you, one support person, a resource binder, and access to instructor for resources/guidance through 6 weeks postpartum. Note: Dates subject to change due to the "on-call" doula life; rescheduled date is a collective class decision.
